The three great blessings.
Unificationism is built off of the Divine Principle, which is built off of the sacred works of the Bible. The purpose of life for the Unificationist is taken from Genesis in which God tells Adam and Eve to “be fruitful, multiply and have dominion over creation” (Gen. 1:28). These are the three great blessings.
Unificationists dissect this verse to mean:
Fruitful- Have mind-body unity
Multiply- Create a family centered on God
Dominion over creation- Use but don’t abuse creation
These are the three blessings in which a Unificationist must abide by and are seen as a basic outline of the ideal life. One thing that always bothered me about these “blessings” was the first one. Be fruitful. This was God supposedly asking man to become spiritually mature in the Unificationists’ view, but he blessed somebody else with the same exact blessing a few lines up.
“And God blessed them, saying, ‘Be fruitful and multiply and fill the waters in the seas, and let birds multiply on the earth.’”
Genesis 1:22
So God asked the birds as well to mature spiritually? Aren’t animals… without spirits? So they should be unable to mature spiritually. Should be.
So… how well do you know your Moon?
